Currently in closed Beta, its like UT but youre on skis with a jetpack. You got different classes however and you gain XP to build up on those classes. Its slowly becoming my new obsession. I think its fantastic fun. Anyone else had a play? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tribes_Ascend
It's pretty awesome. And it seems they're putting balance patches in all the right places too. Definitely one to try if you like fast paced shooters. If anyone wants a beta key let me know. I have four three to give away.
I agree. Even having played the previous game I still have a long way to go before my skill can be described as anything other than "painfully embarrassing". Visual aid to describe my level of skill:

Dude... I better get playing then if im going to be able to compete! I want to unlock the sentinel... the sniper rifle is 100% accurate unscoped = UT style shooting for me
It looks like a fun game. If there is a key available I'll have a go. After monday my exams are over, got a week or so to mess around.
If you like it on facebook you get a free key. I just bought the preorder pack looks like I gotta play it now... Shame.

Theres a part of me that says "OMFG I CANT WAIT FOR THIS!" And then theres the other part of me that says "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH OMGOMGOMGOMOGMOMGOMGOMG IM SOO EXCITED WOOOOOWEEEEEE"! Either way, I am loving this game right now. Proper addicted is me.

RARARA I KILLED EVERYTHING EVER LAST NIGHT. IT WAS AWESOME. However Camstudio didnt compress the 4gb vid file properly. And I dont wanna pay for FRAPs..
