Very vague details at the moment, more to come nearer the time.

    Currently the plan is:
    • Meet in the Union Car Park at about 8:30am
    • Arrive at Bletchley Park for 10am
    • Guided tour around the Mansion and Park
    • Tour of the Computer History Museum
    • Leave site at 4:00pm to go to the Enigma Tavern (Pub)
    • Return to site at 5:30pm for the Blitznight Carnival (Rides, Food, Fireworks!)
    • Leave Bletchley at 8pm to return to Loughborough
The price will be about £20 per person (not confirmed). It's panning out to potentially be a brilliant trip for the society.

    Sounds awesome dude!

I think I shall be up for this. Bletchley is usually a good day out anyway, and the Blitznight is pretty specatular. Also, is the transport member or society provided (i.e. included in the price)? And do we have confirmation that food/other stuff is available from the Enigma Tavern. That was a bit of a sticking point last time we tried this.

That sounds really good, I've always wanted a look around Bletchley. I can make it as well since it's a saturday :)

It should be transport provided for that price if I'm correct Miles?
  6. Miles Honourable

    Yep. Coach transport is included.
  7. Miles Honourable

I wouldn't count on food being available from the Tavern. There was food being sold when we re-entered the park for the blitznight.
  8. Rob Game Committee

Quick question, is this trip available to non-members if there are seats on the coach left over? If so how much will it be? My girlfriend will be down that weekend so if not I won't be able to come :(
  9. Miles Honourable

We'll stretch to non-members. We'll sell tickets on first come first server for a couple of days to members, then to non members.

Tickets will be on sale as soon as we get the coach prices.
  10. Rob Game Committee

Okay, cheers mate. Hopefully there will be some seats left then
  11. Lisa Committee

Can we have a no transport as well? for those who live the wrong end of the country =D
  12. oliverw92 Committee

Yeah I don't see why not
  13. Miles Honourable

Ladies and Mentlegen, we have confirmed prices for the trip.

    Here is the break down.

    Transport: £10
    Guided Tour of BP: £10
    Entrance to the Blitznight: £4

We only need £20 from you as the Blitznight fee is paid on the door. We will be selling tickets from Thursday, however they are now available as a forum upgrade: http://lsucs.org.uk/account/upgrades

If you are making your own way there, then we just need £10 from you for the guided tour.

With there being such a short time to sell tickets we have decided that the ticket sales are also open to boyfriends/girlfriends/close friends of lsucs members.

This is a limited space event, we only have 50 tickets. It's first comes first serve!

    The plan for the day:

    • Meet at RigRut Lawn at 8am.
    • Leave by 8:30am.
    • Arrive at BP by 10am
    • Tour until 4pm (you can break off from the tour if you wish, there is also a restaurant/cafe on site if you want food)
    • Go to the Enigma Tavern for until 5:30pm when the doors for blitznight open
    • Carnival/fireworks till 8:30pm
    • GO HOME
  14. Rob Game Committee

Sounds good to me, are the tickets on Thursday for members only? Or are they open to all. If there's only 50 places I don't see many tickets being left over for non-members anyway...
  15. Miles Honourable

    Edited my post :p

Also guys, will it be alright for me and my girlfriend to not get the coach back? We were thinking seeing as she lives in the village next to Milton Keynes and me the next town down we'd gohome for the Sunday. Will that be okay?
  18. Miles Honourable

Yes but we'd have to charge the full £10 each for transport.
  19. Rob Game Committee

    Yeah that's fine. I didn't expect a discount (Or did I....?)
  20. Harold Saxon Honourable

Btw, is the limit on places based on transport or the tour itself?
