At the societies showcase we will be performing!

Ha, just kidding. We will be having a console night at the back of room 1. Then afterwards we are going to head upstairs to Fusion for the final stupid Tuesday of the year.

There is a prize for the best society costume. Someone came up with the idea of Christmas Tetris.

An idea expanding off the tetris one.

We go as different coloured tetris blocks. But when formed together correctly spell out "SocFed" or if we have enough people wanting to go, does the entire Socfed Logo.

    Is this a joke?!
  4. Miles Honourable

No, it's human tetris. When we form a line, we disappear :D

I'll see you guys there as I'll be performing a showcase but won't be able to go Stupid Tuesday as I have work the next day (and works Christmas meal next day as well)

We need someone co-ordinate where the blocks go :p

Also we need this music playing constantly, someone can smuggle a CD player into their outfit

So is our theme Tetris or not? Personally i'm all for the reindeer theme.
  9. Christian LSUCS Member

If Tetris, could co-ordinate boxes etc at LAN?

May do stupid, work in the morning, but I'm not very sensible and make bad decisions so we'll see :derp:
  13. Mikey Jim Honourable

Since when is stupid tuesday EVER a bad decision ;)

    Things we need:

    • 3 Xboxes
    • N64
    • 1 PS3 + Driving game (ELLO MIKE)
    • Projector + Screen
    • Power Reels
    • Two for my screens with HDMI
    • Need two more screens (one with scart or composite)

    Questions -

Is this console night for compsoc or everyone attending the event?

I have television that could be used but I'm a bit worried about it getting damaged and stuff, especially if there's random drunken public people.
What would happen if any members equipment did get damaged? Where's the equip going when everyone goes to stupid Tuesday?
  16. Miles Honourable

This is a societies only event, it should also be covered by union insurance. We control who goes in and out of the console area.

I don't want to borrow huge TV for this event as the tables we are putting the kit on are probably not suitable.
  17. Lisa Committee

    Thank you for your answer.
My TV is prolly not suitable then :( but it is still sexy hokay.

I can bring an Xbox, various games and 2 controllers. I probably wont stay on for stupid though. What time would we be setting up?
  19. Mikey Jim Honourable

I only have a big tv... I'll bring my ps3/wheel but someone else might need to bring a smaller monitor if that's the case
  20. Lisa Committee

I have a box that can convert composite to VGA if there isn't a suitable screen with composite/scart.
