Good news everyone, we have a record to beat. I thought I'd keep you all up to date with this lovely front page image we can update once a day! Lets beat last years record!
Waffle: more inactive members == bad more active members == good Given that the majority (I think) of members are coming to Lans etc now CompSoc is obviously doing a better job of keeping people's attention and interest. Well done so far to the committee on doing well on numbers and now your challenge is to "Quick!, quick!, get the crystal!" keep them involved in all aspects of the society.
Considering most of the member count joined before freshers bizaare as well, I think they'll be active
A pretty successful social I think... http://img24.imageshack.us/i/imagewbj.jpg http://img13.imageshack.us/i/imagetean.jpg Edit: links because the forums hate my iPhone
+1 to member count when the union figure out if I have to pay £20 to get lifetime/associate membership as a staff member (ex student) or not >_> (3 different answers in a week ftw)
Seeing as their membership page now says that ex-students get lifetime association for free, then no, you shouldn't have to pay. The fact that you're now staff shouldn't make the slightest bit of difference to that entitlement (although obviously it would if you weren't alumni). If they disagree, show them their constitution and point out part 4.a.ii.b.
They've made life membership free?! So they went from it being £20 for life. To £20 a year. To free.... Guess that means my life membership is now valid again, considering I cancelled the direct debit lol.
What do we think the likelihood of the union being both able and willing to transfer club membership from a life membership to a student membership is when that life member becomes a student again?
