Where did you purchase your copy from? I also want to get it, but I'm not too interested in paying £40 on Origin.
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Battlefield-3-Limited-PC-DVD/dp/B004MKM958/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1319099661&sr=8-2 Will be ordering it once paid next week.
Me want so bad I'm not sure whether to play it safe and get it on PS3, or try running it on my laptop (The beta ran perfectly well on high)
http://mp1st.com/2011/10/17/bf3-pc-graphical-options-revealed/ The above image should help in that decision (also lsucs will be playing mainly on PC if you want to join us ) Also I just remembered Amazon don't charge you till it's shipped!! Ordering now!
And they'll also charge you the lowest price. Which also includes if it drops in price from when they send it and release date. (because they send it before release date).
Right, i'm about to press the button to pre-order this. But i'm having little niggling doubts to how it will play. So hopefully there is somebody here who knows a bit more about gaming than I do. Heres my laptop specs, is it worth getting it? Processor: Intel i7 2630QM - 2 GHz boostable to 2.9 Graphics card: 2GB Nvidia GT540m RAM: 6GB (Not sure on speeds etc) Harddrive: 500gb 7200RPM I've only just started gaming on the PC so i'm not quite sure if thats any good at all. As I said earlier the beta ran fine on medium and got around 25 fps on high. Will the full release be much different?
It'll run. Anything else? You can always meddle with the options a little when it comes out, but I'm thinking you should be able to run it on high. It'll look a lot better than a console version at the very least
Cheers dude, I could probably work it out if I had a desktop. But laptop cards just throw me. It doesn't help that systemrequirements lab doesn't recognise my card half the time and when it does it gives me a fail for minimum requirements. Even Nvidia's site tells me it doesn't meet the minimum requirements
I ignored that, because I could care less about them wanting me to buy a new card. I ran the beta on high with no issues on my GTX 460, and I'm quite happy with that. But yeah, since it's a mobile card it's not as good as desktop ones of course, but the GT540m is pretty decent
